Crazy's in the News!!

Did any of you hear about the teenager who claimed 56 stars were tattooed on her face while she slept. Well, I guess the story is that she wanted only 3 stars but she has been claiming that a tattoo artist placed 56 star tats on her face while she unconsciously sleeping. She is claiming she fell asleep while the tats were being applied. LOL. Who falls a sleep while getting a tat. Don't those hurt? Well, this week she finally has admitted she lied and she stated she was awake the whole time the tats were getting applied, she actually told him to place all 56 of them and that she totally adored them. The reason for her to lie was because her father was furious about the tattoos on her young face. The girl actually threatened to sue the tattoo artist. LOL. Just think how awful the tattoo artist felt. I just don't know where this world is heading toward.
So my questions is How would you feel if your child came home with 56 tattoos on her/his face. I would be furious and I think it is totally unattractive.. I think one or two is okay. I actually wanted to get one but I am way to chicken to go through with it, but 56 on the face is just way to wigged out for me.. What do you think?

Home cookin'

Last night, I decided to make potato salad for myself. I would made it for Dale, but he never liked potato salad, who knows why; to me it is Delicious. So last night, I boiled the potatoes and the eggs so I wouldn't have to do it this morning. After they were done boiling I just simply put them in the refrigerator until today. I cut the potatoes and eggs and placed them in a bowl. I ventured out to the garden and picked a fresh onion for the salad, cut it up and place it in a bowl as well. Then I added two secret ingredients, and then added the miracle whip and horseradish mustard. My mouth is salivating just talking about it. What do you think of my end result? Wouldn't you like to try it?? Can you guess my two secret ingredients, think about it???

My favorite drink...

Well, I found a new favorite drink that I enjoy waking up to in the morning. I love that it says "amazingly smooth" right on the can. It is really smooth. I usually only allow myself to drink one can of soda a day, but with this DR PEPPER CHERRY, I have a hard time staying out of the refrigerator. Try it, Tell me what you think..

Do you remember these 80's shows???

Who's the Boss

Threes a Crowd

Punky Brewster

Miami Vice

Knight Rider

Just the Ten of Us

Highway to Heaven

Head of the Class

Growing Pains

Golden Girls

Full House

Father Murphy

Family Ties

Family Matters

Doogie Howser

A Different World

The Cosby Show

Do you remember these shows? Which one was your favorite or favorites? I know I had a few favorites, back in the day. Remember when those shows were family oriented shows, unlike now days. Remember when the shows had values, and gave you something to think about. Did you know it is okay to say F*** on national TV. The government in 2009 passed a law that many swear words can be put on national TV, how does that make you feel. Our children of all ages are watching these shows and they are saying it is okay for them to watch these shows with all the swearing in them. I understand we should do better monitoring of what our children watch, but think about it if the government says its okay to swear, how do you control it. You can control your child from all the bad influences, but there friends family has different values and concerns and may think it's okay to swear and watch nudity on TV. If I had children I would not let my children watch many of the TV shows that are playing on TV now days. The sad thing is that many of the cartoons on TV have the same swear words and nudity in them. The other day, I was watching TV and I found a cartoon on a station so I started watching it for about 5 minutes and all of a sudden, the little boy and little girl in the cartoon took of there clothes and went into a tent, lets just say it wasn't there birthdays. What examples are we showing our kids? I am not very fond of many of the new shows that are playing these days. If I had kids, I wouldn't let them watch any TV because they don't need that bad influence in there lives, mostly when they can go to town and see the same influences. What changed from then to now? Is our society really falling through the cracks that we are allowing this to happen? Is it okay for your child to swear and what age do you feel its okay? In my eyes, no one should swear, what are we trying to prove? We can just hope it gets better and not worse in the years and months to come.

Another Vacation to Kansas!!!

Well dale and I went to Kansas again to pick up another car for his Ebay store. This time we picked up a 1950 2 door cheverolet. Nice project car for someone who would like to do the work. Unlike Dale and I, we are going to piece it out and sell piece by piece on ebay.

Well, on our way to Washington, Kansas to pick up the car we stayed in this little town called, Blue Earth which is located in Minnesota. This town was a cute little town and we even took our pictures with the green giant.

Then on our way out of the park with the green giant; I decided to take my picture with these other fellas who were sitting next to the fence. It was a cute little crafty thing to do..

Then, Dale and I hit the road and made it to Washington, Kansas where we spotted the sign for the Pony express station and took a few more snap shot with the sign..

Picked up the car and headed back home. It was a great little quick trip with the hubilicious... It is always fun to get away, even if it is only for three days...

Family Planning....

A couple weeks ago my husband seen an article in the church bulletin on family planning and he said to me, "Maybe we should start doing family planning that the church has to offer" My first thought was he wants a child; but, I am not sure if I am ready for children. I did fine raising my 17 year old niece who was in a lot of trouble when she first moved in our home but after a year she graduated and she is getting on with her life as a young adult and moved out of the house.. I am okay starting at 17 but at age 0, there is more responsibility involved. I am not sure if I have the patients to raise a baby, they are too delicate. There are times when I think it is time to start a family and then I go to the mall and see a baby and then I want one. But then reality sets in, would I be a good parent? Would I treat them like I was treated? To have millions of crazy thoughts about it does that make me a bad person? Does people think I am cruel for thinking such thoughts? I am just not sure about the family thing.
Okay, so getting back on subject of family planning planner the church has to offer. It involves you paying close attention to the intimate times you and your loved one spend together alone behind closed doors. So family planning is planning those special times a month where you can and can not be intimate if you do not want to have children. Makes sense right. Well if you have an irregular period it won't work. So I am having issues with this because I fall in that category. So what I do it and then end up knocked up, will I be ready, I would have to be because there is nothing can be done about it? These are questions I need to ask myself before I even think about doing such a crazy thing. Does my husband wants to start a family and I am holding him back or does he think I want to and he feels he is holding me back. Is it so bad that I do not want to share my husband with anyone, I want to hog him all to myself, yeah I know selfish. I guess we just need to sit down and talk about this situation together as two mature adults. Check for later postings

Kansas Car Trip!!!

Well last week Dale and I ventured out to Kansas to pick up a car for his E bay store/Auction. So, on the way there it was slight boring, I sang, we played "the I see game" and we made up games as we drove the long boring interstate 80. Living in Wisconsin for so many years, we don't see mountains or palm trees or anything cool like that but we do have numerous lakes, trees (pine, oak, and birch, and every town has 2-6 bars (no matter how big) you get the idea.
I thought going to Kansas we'd see something nice in there geographic area because we going a little south west but it looked like Wisconsin.. I thought for sure we would see a little destruction from old twisters, but no such luck.. So we drove there, and when we got into Kansas I saw a sign that read "PONY EXPRESS STATION" it wasn't out of the way it was on the road that we were on so I said to Dale, "Hey lets go see the PONY EXPRESS Station." So to the Station we had to take a one lane dirt road..

So being the funny nice guy my husband is he takes me to the visitor station and says this is it. He was truly believing that this was the place. I said "are you totally serious" I am thinking to my self this can't be it. It should be old and rustic, right??? Well this building he took me to had a little newer siding and was painted and it had a blacktopped driveway. I was thinking to my self black top hum.. Dale says, "I think they are trying to preserving it, you know it was a long time ago" I am thinking what a let down and I think he was let down himself because he likes all that cowboy and Indian sort of stuff..

So I told him lets go down the road a little longer and to my amazement BAAM!!! There it was the PONY EXPRESS STATION, just how I had imagined it in my head; old and rustic.

We got out of the truck when we got there and we read the information about the express station and we learned we missed walking through the station because the place closed at 5:00 pm and we arrived at 5:10 pm. We missed it by a whole whopping 10 minutes so me being adventurous I took pictures of the inside by looking through the glass of the outside window, little glare but not really too bad.

Well, Dale and I thought we better get back on the road because the guy for the car was expecting us at 6:30ish and we didn't know how long it was going to take us. But we were on a single lane road and we were pulling an 18 foot trailer behind us boy or boy. LOL.. We managed but dang it was tight.. My husband is got skills with the trailer.

When we got to the guys house it was like 6:00 pm or so we loaded the car and we met a new friend before the car owner got there, who seemed to like our trailer...

On the way back to Wisconsin so many peps beeped at us due to everyone like the car that I picked on eBay, bid and won.. Yeah, I guess not won... but I got the car...
We now have a 1950 Buick that my husband can sell on E bay...

I know, I know you all are think what a piece of junk, but Dale and I are thinking JACKPOT!!!
