Kansas Car Trip!!!

Well last week Dale and I ventured out to Kansas to pick up a car for his E bay store/Auction. So, on the way there it was slight boring, I sang, we played "the I see game" and we made up games as we drove the long boring interstate 80. Living in Wisconsin for so many years, we don't see mountains or palm trees or anything cool like that but we do have numerous lakes, trees (pine, oak, and birch, and every town has 2-6 bars (no matter how big) you get the idea.
I thought going to Kansas we'd see something nice in there geographic area because we going a little south west but it looked like Wisconsin.. I thought for sure we would see a little destruction from old twisters, but no such luck.. So we drove there, and when we got into Kansas I saw a sign that read "PONY EXPRESS STATION" it wasn't out of the way it was on the road that we were on so I said to Dale, "Hey lets go see the PONY EXPRESS Station." So to the Station we had to take a one lane dirt road..

So being the funny nice guy my husband is he takes me to the visitor station and says this is it. He was truly believing that this was the place. I said "are you totally serious" I am thinking to my self this can't be it. It should be old and rustic, right??? Well this building he took me to had a little newer siding and was painted and it had a blacktopped driveway. I was thinking to my self black top hum.. Dale says, "I think they are trying to preserving it, you know it was a long time ago" I am thinking what a let down and I think he was let down himself because he likes all that cowboy and Indian sort of stuff..

So I told him lets go down the road a little longer and to my amazement BAAM!!! There it was the PONY EXPRESS STATION, just how I had imagined it in my head; old and rustic.

We got out of the truck when we got there and we read the information about the express station and we learned we missed walking through the station because the place closed at 5:00 pm and we arrived at 5:10 pm. We missed it by a whole whopping 10 minutes so me being adventurous I took pictures of the inside by looking through the glass of the outside window, little glare but not really too bad.

Well, Dale and I thought we better get back on the road because the guy for the car was expecting us at 6:30ish and we didn't know how long it was going to take us. But we were on a single lane road and we were pulling an 18 foot trailer behind us boy or boy. LOL.. We managed but dang it was tight.. My husband is got skills with the trailer.

When we got to the guys house it was like 6:00 pm or so we loaded the car and we met a new friend before the car owner got there, who seemed to like our trailer...

On the way back to Wisconsin so many peps beeped at us due to everyone like the car that I picked on eBay, bid and won.. Yeah, I guess not won... but I got the car...
We now have a 1950 Buick that my husband can sell on E bay...

I know, I know you all are think what a piece of junk, but Dale and I are thinking JACKPOT!!!

Love the car, and can't wait to see the finished product. I think that I need a new ride like that.
